A link sent by text or shared in a group chat quickly gets lost in the conversation. A card on the table, on the other hand, stays visible all evening: guests see it as they sit down, during dinner, between courses. That's the moment they naturally reach for their phone — might as well be to upload a photo instead of keeping it to themselves.
The most effective approach is one card per table, clearly visible, next to the menu or place card. Many couples also add one near the photobooth, at the venue entrance, and on the dance floor — anywhere guests naturally reach for their phone. The earlier the QR code is visible in the evening, the more guests get into the habit of uploading their photos as they go, instead of waiting until the end of the party (and forgetting).
A guest scans the QR code with their phone's camera, just like any other QR code. They land directly on your collection's page, with no redirect to an app store and no account to create. They select their photos and videos, confirm the upload, and that's it: the files are uploaded in original quality, with no compression, even in 4K or RAW.
Do my guests need to install an app?
No. Everything happens in their phone's browser, with nothing to install.
